About this Talk

Supervision is vital in delivering a PIE and Trauma-informed approach and encompasses far more than line management and operational responsibilities. In this workshop, Dr Emma Williamson (Consultant Clinical Psychologist, SLaM & aneemo) - who completed her doctoral research on ‘attachment in the supervisory relationship’ - will discuss the importance of good ‘Psychologically-Informed’ supervision. This will include: the role supervision plays in improving practice, enhancing development and protecting against burnout and vicarious trauma. There will also be opportunities to reflect on your supervisory experience and supervision style, understand the centrality of the supervisory relationship and receive take-home tools for structuring, monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of supervision.
