About this Talk
Milla has worked in the UK voluntary sector since 2003. She has experienced both the joys of this work, and its burnout-inducing challenges. Since 2010 she has supported charities as a freelance consultant supporting wellbeing and resilience-building.
Milla will share reflections from three years of learning from people in the UK voluntary sector considering how individual and collective ways of working can drain or replenish people’s energy.
Following this Trent will present findings from Homeless Link's recent workforce survey of 1,300 respondents across the sector. He will explore why people chose a career in the homelessness sector, what keeps them in and pushes people out of the sector, and what strategies might help organisations bring in and keep high quality staff.
